Billy Elliot is the tale of a young boys struggle to change a communities prejudice. Billy sets out to prove that it doesn't matter what you do, or who you are, as long as you have passion and the will to succeed that's all that counts!
Billy Elliot is an eleven year old boy with a passion for dancing, in particular he admires the grace and poise of ballet much to the disgust of his family. His father in particular has his heart set on boxing as a career for his son - men in their home town are tough they become miners or fighters not ballet dancers. Billy wants to change the mindset of his father nd hopes to succeed throught hard work and determination.
